You Should Be Dancing ~ Yeah

I love Ray's laugh.  He has the best laugh because when he really laughs it is so genuine and joyful.  I think that most people don't get to experience that side of Ray.  He is very guarded and tends to not let people in easily.  Even though he is guarded, he does 'wear his heart on his sleeve' in the sense that if he's pissed, you know he's pissed.  If he's disappointed, you know he's disappointed.  He doesn't like to keep his feelings bottled up; he likes to get everything on the table, discuss it, work through it, and then move forward.  He's really good at asking for forgiveness and apologizing when he needs to apologize and he's really good at talking through his feelings when he's distraught or unsettled about something.

Ray was the first person that really made me laugh.  It was one of the reasons that I fell in love with him.  He really made me genuinely belly laugh in a honest and raw way.  He still makes me belly laugh.  I have a running joke with him that when he dies, I'm going to put "HE WAS FUNNY" on his tombstone.  This is ironic because so many other people experience Ray as serious and often cranky.

Tonight we watched "Despicable Me".  It's a charming movie; one of my favorite animation movies.  When we got to the scene where Gru dances at the end, Ray just cracked up.  He's seen the movie before, but he just laughed and laughed as if it was something he was watching for the first time.  And then he posted the link on Facebook and watched it several more times and laughed and laughed.  I found this charming.  I love to hear him laugh!
