Batman... NOT!

Last night Ray found a bat flying around in his Studio.  When I finally ventured out to see for myself, there he stood... outside- peering in the Studio windows watching the bat.  The door was open in hope that the bat would fly right out, but alas, that did not happen.

I quickly came to the cow's rescue, going into the Studio, (hood on of course), and gathered up the hay and the grain (which is kept inside the Studio) so that the cows could eat.  Ray still stood outside peering into the window.

It was quite funny. Peering into the windows, we both watched the bat fly around in circles.  After a bit, we decided to leave the door open, hope for the best, and call it a night.

This morning we ventured out into the Studio and looked for the bat.  We didn't find him, but did find that the door to the crawl space up in the top of the Studio was wide open.

Now what to do?  I bravely told Ray that I would climb up the ladder and close the door thinking that he would nobly tell his princess to stay put and he would risk himself to go up and close the door himself.

NOT.

I really should have known better not to play that card. So up I climbed, while my brave prince opened the door (just in case the bat decided to make a mad dash for it) and stood there watching me eagerly with a blanket on his head (just in case the bat decided to make a mad dash for it). I peered inside the crawl space, didn't see anything, and closed the door with nothing eventful happening and nothing making a mad dash for it.

It was another husband/wife bonding moment.  A quite funny one at that.  I love that Ray doesn't become all macho just to impress me and that he doesn't care how he looks standing there with a blanket on his head. It was very endearing... and besides, it gave me a chance to be macho.  That was kind of fun!
