I really admire Ray's work ethic. He is a hard worker. He's not lazy at all. My grandmother has often commented that "He is one hard worker". She says she has never seen anyone who has so much energy. Often times Ray is keep working far beyond when I'm ready to call it a day. Quite frankly, sometimes it drives me crazy. But honestly, I really love that he is a hard worker. He has taught all of us the value of seeing projects through to completion and pushing a little bit further because "it's the last 10% that makes the difference" and he's right. I hope that our kids learn this lesson. They'll learn it from Ray, not me. I learn it from Ray. I'm really proud of all that he does for us because I know if it weren't for us, he would have joined some artist commune a long time ago. Ray is a great provider and protector. His name means 'Wise Protector'. He really tries to be that for us. I know that each one of us feels safe and protected because of him, and for that I am very thankful.
Tonight we also curled up and watched TV together. I really love that. We talk about what commercials have effective advertising and which don't. We watched "Bones" which we both love. And we genuinely just enjoyed being around and joking with each other. This doesn't happen a lot for various reasons, but when it does, I really treasure it.
I also love that our old cat "Ralph" comes up and sits on his chest. That makes me smile!
